The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 195 new cases of COVID-19.

The 195 new cases are reported from fifteen states in Nigeria – Lagos (80), Kano (38), Ogun(15), Bauchi (15), Borno (11), Gombe (10), Sokoto (9), Edo (5), Jigawa(5), Zamfara(2), Rivers (one), Enugu (one), Delta (one), FCT (one), and Nasarawa (one).

As at 11:50pm 28th April, there are 1,532 confirmed cases of #COVID-19 reported in Nigeria.

Discharged: 255

Deaths: 44

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also recorded the one case previously reported in Gombe State as a Borno State case, therefore, the total number of cases in Borno State is 53 and 46 in Gombe State.

“Currently, Lagos has 844 cases, FCT -158, Kano -115, Ogun -50, Gombe -46, Osun -34, Katsina -30, Borno -53, Edo -30, Oyo -21, Kaduna -15, Bauchi -29, Akwa-Ibom -12, Kwara -11, Sokoto -19, Ekiti -8, Ondo -8, Delta -7, Rivers -7, Taraba -8, Enugu -3, Niger -2, Jigawa -7, Abia -2, Zamfara -4, Benue -one, Anambra -one, Adamawa -one, Plateau -one, Imo -one, Bayelsa -one, Kebbi -one, Ebonyi -one, and Nasarawa -one.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the United States topped one million on Tuesday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

This pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 57,000 people in the United States, which leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 1,002,498 by the Baltimore-based school’s latest count.
